Voice Transcoding - Redvoip Networks Solutions
Supporting multiple codecs is one of the most challenging aspects of rolling out VoIP services across telephone, cable, cellular, Wi-Fi, and Internet networks. There are currently more than 5 different codecs in use--each of which may be optimum for a specific VoIP application and there are many new codecs on the horizon. This multi-codec world makes it necessary for VoIP providers to translate (or transcode) traffic at their borders. The problem is that transcoding can be very expensive and complex. In this article, we take care of the transcoding issues and how VoIP providers can best implement future-proof transcoding solutions.

Redvoip Networks provides hosted transcoding for iLBC, G.711, G723, G.729 codecs simultaneously for the ultimate voice compatibility.

Our transcoding service enables Voip providers (ITSP), Wholesale and retail providers to convert codecs to increase routing options. All calls could be routes to us on VoIP and the transcoded calls would be routed back on VoIP to you.

We allow on-the-fly conversion between any of these voice codecs.
